Armed Security Guard
$23.00 – $24.00 / hour | Full, Part-Time, Flex shifts | Aurora & Denver, CO 8022
We are seeking a reliable and professional Armed Security Guard to provide weekend coverage. This is a static post position focused on maintaining safety, monitoring activity, and providing a professional security presence.
Responsibilities
- Monitor premises and maintain a secure environment
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or safety concerns
- Interact respectfully with all individuals on property
- Provide support in situations involving the unhoused population
- Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies
- Identify and remove unauthorized personnel from property
- Look for and report any maintenance issues
- Record videos of any interactions as required
- Use GPS tracking software while on duty for client accountability
- Use smartphone for clocking in/out and completing shift reports
Requirements
- Valid, unexpired Denver Security Guard License — both Unarmed AND Armed Excise and License Guard Card (required prior to start date)
- Minimum 1 year of armed guard experience
- Must be 21+ (federal requirements for firearm carry)
- Must pass an FBI background check prior to employment (applicant's responsibility and cost)
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and reliability
- Must have a smartphone for GPS tracking, clocking in/out, and reporting
- Must have reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with or de-escalating situations involving the unhoused population
- Current CPR certification
- Spanish-speaking ability
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $23–$24/hour
- Consistent weekend schedule (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
